Fuel prices up; gas shortage
ends as tanker arrives today

 

Prices of fuel went up by P2 per liter starting yesterday as supply of unleaded gasoline runs low in the province.

The tanker ship, "M.T. Lapu-Lapu" is expected to arrive at 5 o'clock this morning from Manila to bring in gas supply.

The province encountered shortage of supply of unleaded gasoline yesterday after the tanker failed to arrive here due to inclement weather which caused id not get a clearance to sail. FULL STORY

If the tanker from Manila will fail to arrive today, the shortage of unleaded gasoline will worsen today as shown in this gas station which already run out of unleaded gas supply last night. NEDA chief resigns post

MANILA.- After more than a year of serving as chief of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), Raplh Recto is leaving the agency "to explore elective opportunities."

The former senator will resign from his post effective August 16, NEDA said in a statement. It added that Recto would hold a press conference on Wednesday to formally announce and offer details on his resignation, which according to official sources, has been accepted by Malacañang. FULL STORY
