P7.9 million expenditure of the city government was discovered without the necessary
supporting vouchers, according to State Auditor Charlita R. Leopoldo.
The
Commission on Audit (COA) discovered 22 missing vouchers which should have been
included in the supporting documents of the 2008 COA Report.

DEAD. A 1.3-meter melon head whale (peponocephala electra) was found floating
4 km. south west of Pamilacan Island at 7:41 a.m. yesterday. The whale was found
by the crew of "MB/CA PIBOSA - Pamilacan Tours" while on a dolphin/whale
watching. The whale is believed dead 5 or 7 days ago as it is already at the decomposing
stage. The crew was composed of Daniel Operio, boat captain assisted by Epifanio
Operio, Apolinar Miculob and local guide Mary Aguipo. The whale was brought to
seaside Baluarte. Baclayon Mayor Alvin Uy who was informed by Jojo Baritua
of the Pamilacan Island Boat Operators and Spotters Association (PIBOSA) immediately
proceeded to Baluarte. The whale will be buried today. |
