Judge drops from Agora case

 

Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Teofilo Baluma decided to inhibit from hearing the class suit filed for the cancellation of the City Square contract, a move that is seen to delay further the hearing for a temporary restraining order sought by three lawyers representing the people of Tagbilaran.

Baluma is the fifth judge who dropped the case filed by lawyers Victor dela Serna, Alexander Lim and Zotico Ochavillo seeking to nullify the rehabilitate-operate-transfer (ROT) contract entered into by the city government and the Tagbilaran Business Center (TBC) Realty Development Corporation for being "grossly disadvantageous" to the city.

Barrack Hussein Obama, the new 44th president of the United States of America, is the first colored African American president of the greatest nation on earth.

Sixty years ago, his colored father would not have been served food in an American restaurant because of the color of the skin.

Black racial civil rights champion Martin Luther King Jr once said:" We would one day like to go to the top of the mountain and say: Free at last, thank God Almighty, free at last." -speaking for equality and justice in America that had long preserved black slavery and observed racial discrimination. Miriam: Heads must roll
over WB blacklisting

MANILA.- Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago yesterday said three government officials should be sacked from their posts for failing to investigate three Philippine construction firms blacklisted by the World Bank because of corruption.

Santiago said Finance Secretary Margarito Teves, Ombudsman Merceditas Gutierrez, and Public Works Secretary Hermogenes Ebdane Jr., failed to act on the World Bank's advisory that it is investigating three Philippine contractors for collusion, which, the senator, said is a crime under the Constitution.
