It's a given that the upcoming Pacquiao versus Hatton match will give the fans their money's worth. With both fighters looking to knock each other out, we are all assured of nonstop action from the first round.

Predicting the outcome of this fight is harder than it seems. Both fighters have distinct advantages that may give them the edge come fight night. Pacquiao has a definite edge in speed and overall boxing skills, but Hatton has the advantage in power, being the naturally bigger guy.

Rico leads Capitol in
top satisfaction rating

Gov. Erico Aumentado who is now on his last term as governor continues to enjoy high satisfaction rating among Boholanos, based on the latest Bohol Poll conducted by the Holy Nme University Research Center.

During its presentation Tuesday, Gov. Aumentado registered an 82% satisfaction rating as far as his performance is concerned. Net satisfaction rating is high at +77 (five points lower than last year). FULL STORY


HNU prof. heads national editors of research group

The members of the Philippine Association of Institutions for Research (PAIR) had embarked into a three-day workshop titled: "National Training on Peer Review and Journal Publication Standards" on March 02-04, 2009 at Our Lady of Fatima University in Valenzuela City.

On the last day of the workshop, i.e., March 05, the members engaged into accrediting the prospective National Peer Reviewer of which Dr. Ed Babor got the accreditation.

MANILA. Here's good news involving the first Filipino found positive for the Influenza A(H1N1) virus.

The 10-year-old girl who had come from the United States with her parents is now on the way to recovery, the Department of Health announced Friday morning.

"The patient is recovering … She has no more fever. She only has a sore throat," Health Undersecretary Mario Villaverde told reporters in a news conference. FULL STORY
