1,000% airport terminal fee increase blocked

 

Provincial lawmakers yesterday expressed opposition to the proposed P200 passenger service charge at the Tagbilaran City Airport, a 1,000 percent increase from the present rate of P20.

Board Member Alfonso Damalerio II sponsored a resolution which was adopted en masse by members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan during yesterday's session.

MANILA. Like Senator Francis 'Chiz' Escudero, former President Joseph Estrada has postponed the formal announcement of his presidential bid in light of the devastation caused by recent typhoons.

Sen. Jinggoy Estrada said yesterday his father was originally scheduled to announce his presidential bid today, but decided to postpone it to give way to his distribution of relief goods in central and northern Luzon.FULL STORY
