Obituary

Mauricio Hangad Ligan of Patrocinio, Cortes, Bohol, died at his residence on September 2, 2009 at the age of 80. He is survived by his wife Flavia Pocot, a retired Public school teacher and his only son Mauricio Jr., a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing with his wife and child.

Ligan was a retired employee of the Department of Agriculture stationed in Iloilo City.
He held the position of Regional Supervising Information Officer and likewise an editor of the department's organ "Reach Out" for several years.

He graduated Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Araneta University and his course in Journalism from Lyceum of the Philippines, Metro Manila.

He was a writer and a poet who used to contribute more of his writings to his field of work and media.

Lately he was the vice president of the Ligan Clan-Tree of Life Association. (Dodong Ocon)
