LONG DELAYED. The hearing of the motion for a temporary restraining order (TRO) of the controversial build-operate-transfer contract of the Agora Market (now City Square) will be heard on Friday by RTC Judge Patcita Sarmiento-Gamutan after five RTC judges in the city earlier inhibited from handling the case. Lawyers Victor de la Serna, Alexander Lim and Zotico Ochavillo are the complainants of the case against the city mayor and the consortium.

 

6 villages on A(H1N1) watch

 

INABANGA. Six barangays have been placed under tight surveillance by health authorities after the resurgence of several cases of students found positive of Influenza A(H1N1) virus.

As of presstime yesterday, another 15 students have been tested positive by the Regional Epidemiology Surveillance Unit (RESU) all coming from barangay Dait Sur while some 80 cases have also been reported with flu symptoms in barangay Uog. FULL STORY

MANILA. Senator Manuel "Mar" Roxas II formally announced yesterday his withdrawal from the 2010 presidential race and his support for his partymate, Senator Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III.
