What used to be a four bungalow-resort some 25 years ago, Alona Kew White Beach
Resort Spa will formally open tomorrow its 65 additional rooms to make it the
biggest resort along the white sandy shorelines of Alona in barangay Tawala, in
this tourists' haven island. | | |

Secretary Ace Durano and DOT Regional Director Dawnie Roa were invited to grace
the soft opening of the resort at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow.
The
opening will prepare the resort for a 100% occupancy for the Chinese New Year.
Chinese
guests are booked on Thursday to fill in every room of the resort.
The
65 well appiointed rooms, equipped with flat screen TV monitors will bring to
115, the number of rooms, from the newly completed two-storey building down to
the its original beach front site.

tandem with the room expansion, the resort has a 1000-pax capacity function area
which can hosts conventions and other major functions.
In
addition to the spacious function room, the resort boats of its new restaurant
beefed up with a chef whose experience assures of a good international cuisine,
including Chinese and Japanese foods.
Tomorrow's
opening will kick-off the resort's operations as its 100-personnel will prepare
to welcome their guests for the Chinese New Year on Thursday. The resort will
register a 100% occupancy for the celebration. | At
its basement will soon open the modern disco zone in Panglao.
Resort
owners, Evelyn Naval Witte and Willy Flores will welcome tomorrow's guests as
they vowed to dedicate this multi-million expansion undertaking for the tourism
growth of the province.
The
expansion came in time for the resort's 25th anniversary on Dec 15 this year.
