bigger meet," Aznar said. | FIELD
More
than 450 athletes, coaches and officials will be traveling to Manila on Feb. 19
to start Central Visayas' bid for athletic supremacy.
"Everything
is fine now. We're just waiting for the day when we will leave for Manila. Our
preparations are on schedule, our athletes are ready," Aznar added.
A
total of 17 sports events will be contested - including two additions - beach
volleyball and boxing.
"There
will be 17 sports events, two additions, beach volleyball and boxing, while Dancesports

REPRESENTATIVES
However,
the event's centerpiece-basketball, will be represented by players from Bohol.
"We
were not represented in basketball. Since our top three teams were at the Champions
League when we had our regional tournament, the players from Bohol composed of
players from the University of Bohol, Holy Name University, Bohol Institute of
Technology and the Philippine Maritime Institute, will represent us to the National
Games, he stressed.
CHED-7
Director Amelia Biglete challenged the Central Visayas athletes to do their best
and improve from their third place finish in last year's Prisaa National Meet.
