BAI all stars
to join BSAAA

The Bai Cristobal summer basketball training camp will be organizing an All Star teams for the elementary and high school which will be entered in the annual competition of the Bohol Schools Amateur Athletic Association (BSAAA), this was the gist of the memorandum of agreement which was ironed out by Bobong Madanguit, camp director of the BCSBTC and Paul Calizar, commissioner of the BSAAA.

This is a sincere manifestation that the camp will not only train or impart unto their trainees the new techniques of modern and scientific basketball basics but also to develop its graduates through constant monitoring and exposing them to a field of competition and or tournaments.

If we may recall, the camp have been consistently inculcating unto their trainees the basics of moral values and discipline so as to lead its graduate to become God fearing and God loving citizens of our country. Furthermore the graduates of the training camp have likewise been indoctrinated the basic priorities of life, such as: God, Family, Education, and Basketball.

Former superstar of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA0, Bai Cristobal, who is the chief trainer of the camp, have been loved by the parents of the participants because of his patience and sincere dedication to train the aspiring young participants. Thus he does his task with utmost perfection.

   

The virtuous former PBA superstar will be ably assisted by local basketball coaches, former school varsity and commercial players and other sports personalities, as follows: Gerwin Cabalit, a former UB Flying Lemur and who is still active an a commercial basketball standout at present. He was the former coach of the BSAAA champions Bohol Wisdom School Golden Dragons; Paul Calizar, a former BIT IC Super cruiser and now a member of the BAP referees commission; Dj Dejaresco, a former stalwart of the University of Perpetual Help of Rizal Daltas and now making waves as a member of the Holy Name Falcons; and Genesis 'Pakay" Lopena, a former BIT IC Super cruiser and now coach of the Champions STK commercial basketball team.

Among the notable graduates of the training camp who made it to the bigger leagues were Donjay Dejaresco, University of Perpetual help of Rizal Dalta of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA); Josh Dominise, University of Perpetual Help of Rizal of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA); Dexter Zamora, Lyceum of the Philippines of the National College Regional Athletic Association (NCRAA); Nicholo Uy, Cebu Institute of Technology Wildcats of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi); Kenken Galaura, Cebu Institute of Technology Wildcats of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi); Ian Lopecillo, formerly of University of Bohol Flying Lemurs; Loi Diangco, now playing with BIT IC Super Cruisers; and Christian Racho, who is now making waves in an interschool tournament in Cagayan de Oro City.

Other graduates included Victor de Castro; Donniko Cabagnot; Christian Atienza; Ken Pinos; Kelvin Abarado; Kyle Panong; Ponpon Uy; and many more.

The camp is open to all able bodied participants who are aged 8 to 18 years old.

Registration fee is pegged at P1,500 only with free t-shirts and basketball.

Grandmas Purified Drinking Water, along 6 V.P. Inting Avenue, Tagbilaran City; Angel's Wings Travel and Tours, M.H. Del Pilar St., Tagbilaran City; and Basketball of the Philippines (BAP), 6 P. Burgos St., Tagbilaran City.

The Bai Cristobal basketball camp will accept only limited participants so that the training can be personally attended by the trainees.
