 Loay-Loboc waterworks to operate within April
 

The controversy over the operation of the P43 million Loay-Loboc municipal waterworks system seems to be nearing its solution despite the pending legal battle between the Department of Public Works & Highways (DPWH) and a private corporation.

In an unprecedented meeting convened last Monday, Rep. Eladio Jala was able to convince the parties involved to "temporarily" set aside the legal impediments of the case while deciding that the waterworks will operate within the next three weeks, the latest of which should be before the June 11 town fiesta of Loay.

MANILA. Members of the Makati City Police Department's Anti-Carnapping (Ancar) unit are now hunting down three men who forcibly took a silver Honda City from a sales manager and his wife last Sunday night. The suspects, who were carrying long and short firearms, used the car as a second escape vehicle after abandoning their first vehicle, a white Toyota Vios.
