The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, (PICE) Inc.- National Administrative Officer, Nanette Villanueva of National Headquarter and Regional Director, Robert G. Lala of DPWH-Region VII, eyed Bohol as the next venue of Regional Conference in Region 7, as discussed in the Midyear PICE Convention held during the Chapter President's meeting in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

Director Lala is also a member of the National Board of Director and Chairman of Regional Conferences Committee of PICE called a strategic/coordination meeting of Region VII chapter presidents at Cebu Grand Convention Center Restaurant, Cebu City, witnessed by the National Administrative Officer of PICE National Office, after presentation, discussion of the guidelines and confirmation of final plans chooses Bohol province as the next venue of the PICE Regional Conference tentatively set on August 18-19, 2006, held in Tagbilaran City.

The PICE Regional Conference theme is "Bridging Region VII Islands Through Pice" the proper venue is at Metrocentre Hotel and Convention Center, CPG Avenue, Tagbilaran City with delegates from different chapters from Cebu, Siquijor, Negros Oriental and Bohol. A letter-Invitations was also cited to near regions like Davao and Cagayan de Oro and part in Mindanao provinces were engineers from Visayas region wanted to see the beauty/attractions of Bohol.

Bohol attractions comprises the white beach resort in Panglao Island, the wonder Chocolate Hills, one of the smallest monkey Tarsier in the world and Floating Restaurant along the along the River and Waterfalls and the City Atmosphere.

The 2006 PICE Regional Coordinator, Engr. Liberato H. Lupot, Jr. UB-Dean of the Technology Department and all Region VII-Chapter President's shall compose the coordinating council for the conference whose task is to organize a Conference Sub-Committee in their respective chapters to ensure the participation of the majority of their members and organize a chapter-ways and means committee which handle the solicitation of sponsors, donors, exhibitors and advertisers.

The Chairman of the Regional Conferences Committee will secure the authority to government Civil Engineers official attendance on Official Time and/or Cost headed by our Region VII-Regional Director Robert G. Lala, CESO III of DPWH, Cebu City.

The PICE Bohol Chapter who had jurisdiction over the territory where the conference is situated shall be responsible of the venue preparation and physical arrangement; setting up the reception committee; provision of local secretariat and registration staff; campaign for attendance and coordinate regularly with the NAO Nenette C. Villanueva for all requirement of the said Regional Conference.

The Bohol Chapter President, Engr. Benito L. Aparicio, Jr. calling all Civil Engineers to participate the PICE Conference, the first time in Bohol where you will meet once again your schoolmates engineer and friend on bygone days in coincidence with the Tigum Bisayang Engineer sa Tanang Regions (TBETR) and please invite also your schoolmates Engineer whom you are always in touch to attend to make the conference a fruitful one.

The PICE-Bohol Chapter has an umbrella association, the Bohol Civil Engineer's Formation Association (BOCEF) registered with the Security and Exchange Commission, and the Bohol Association of Municipal Engineers (BAME) with 48 Municipalities - composition of municipal engineers whose member civil engineers are the same with the institution, and likewise the chapter president urges all officers and Board of Directors/Trustees of PICE-BOCEF and BAME exerts all efforts to campaign for attendance of their respective members on the said conference, first time ever happen in Bohol for PICE.
