 3rd Globe cellsite torched
 

Another communications tower owned by Globe Communications Co. was burned 5 o’clock yesterday morning in San Isidro town.

This is the third cellsite of the telecom giant situated here in the province being torched in less than a year by still unidentified perpetrators.

 TWO-YEAR RECORD. City Mayor Dan Lim renders his report onwhat has been done during his first two years as chief executive, during the 40th Charter Day celebration at the city hall last Monday. Two water tankers were turned over to the City Fire Station by the Bureau of Fire Regional Office. Receiving the tankers were Prov’l Fire Marshal Nonilo Acero, Vice Mayor Nuevas Montes, Hans Schoof and Mayor Lim.

Better not talk about the bloody carnage at the Coliseum.

Most Filipinos, anyway, saw how local boxing sensation Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao made a literal mincemeat of Mexican two-time world champion Oscar “Chololo” Larios in a savage 12-round massacre with two knockdowns on the 7th and 12th rounds. At the end of the bell, Larios was just jubilant realizing he was still on his feet – that was victory for him.
